Prayer for The Troops

"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful." -John 14:27

Soldier Prayers
Father, we approach You as the Most High God. We declare that You are the Creator of all things. You set the boundaries of the sea, and stretched out the heavens above. When You act Lord, no one can reverse it, and there is no one who can deliver out of Your hand.

We ask Lord that Your mighty hand of protection would be with our troops, that You would surround them with Your favor as a shield.
Bless them in the land, and do not surrender them to the desire of their foes.
I pray that Your hand of protection would guard them from chemical and biological agents.
Give our soldiers wisdom in staying clear of these weapons, and thwart the plans of the enemy to use them.
I ask for discernment in separating civilians from soldiers. Help our troops to protect the innocent, and to watch over the needy as they liberate the Iraqi people.
Go before them Lord as they press into the battle and be their rear guard. Surround them with songs of deliverance, and keep them from the hands of the enemy. In Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer: Deliverance from Evil
"Jesus, I'm so grateful that You strengthen and protect us from the evil one. Lord, I stand with our troops right now, and ask You to strengthen them to do the right thing.
Guard them from the evil one. Uphold our troops and cause them to walk in righteousness, so You can bless them. Deliver them lord, from pride, bitterness, revenge, and rage. Cause them to move in compassion and walk Humbly before You.
Lord, when the tempter comes, You always provide a way of escape. Please help these soldiers to run to You every time they are tempted. Strengthen them to take every thought captive and to cling to You. You are their Deliverer, cause their hearts to trusts in You and be their help." Brave warriors, should fate find us in battle, May our cause be just. May our leaders have clear vision. May our courage not falter. May we be triumphant an earn victory as we show mercy to our enemies. May our efforts bring lasting peace. May our sacrifice be always appreciated by those we serve. May we return to our loved ones unharmed. Should we be harmed, may our wounds heal. Soldier Prayer

Dear Lord,

There's a young man far from home, called to serve his nation in time of war; sent to defend our freedom on some distant foreign shore. We pray You keep him safe, we pray You keep him strong, we pray You send him safely home ... for he's been away so long.

There's a young woman far from home, serving her nation with pride. Her step is strong, her step is sure, we pray You keep her strong, we pray You send her safely home ... for she's been away too long.

Bless those who await their safe return.

Bless those who mourn the lost.

Bless those who serve this country well, no matter what the cost.
