Spiritual Journey

1. Meditate-Try to carve out at least 1 minute twice a day to be still. This is an important step on your spiritual journey. Do this for a month or so depending on how you do.
Even the busiest of us can spare 1 minute, but we sometimes forget, right?
Leave yourself little notes until it becomes a habit for you. Give yourself one minute in the morning and one minute in the evening. Then, extend to 2 and then 3 minutes and so on. It is simple, but can make such a huge difference.

2. Part of your spiritual journey will require paying attention. Look for the message in every problem or challenge. Ask yourself, ‘What is Your message for me?’ and ‘What are You here to teach me?’

3. Find like-minded people and friends who can share your spiritual path. Once you make the decision to start down the path, others will be attracted to you, and you’ll notice situations and people you may not have noted before.

The Bible says ‘wherever 2 or 3 are gathered in my name, I am there.’

• Gather in a church or synagogue

• Start a book club

• Gather to simply share laughs and get to know one another

• Come out of yourself

Pay attention to your life!

Notice when you are fighting rather than allowing life to flow. Try to Allow way more often then you Fight. This doesn’t mean giving up or giving in-it simply means to choose your battles wisely. If you find that you struggle a lot, you are probably not where you should be.

For example, a friend and coworker of mine wasn’t treated well at work. It seemed like her work wasn’t appreciated, and she really felt this. Yet, she is an incredibly bright, creative and kind person who had so much to offer. Little things kept happening, and I told her that I felt God was trying to tell her that she was needed somewhere else. It grew to be such heartache for her that she developed physical problems. She went with the flow, but fought it the whole time-on the inside. Eventually, her job was eliminated. Miraculously, the perfect work for her (her own business even!) and a lifelong passion of hers came to fruition.

This was truly divine intervention.

Sometimes you get little nudges and sometimes you’ll get a kick in the pants until you get the message.
